Another Walk Cycle

Run Cycle

I really enjoyed animating a weighty run with this rig.

I wanted him to come across as the sort of character you'd get chasing you out of his cave.

Walk Cycle

This is a Generic walk cycle animated in Maya.

Game Scene

For one scene in my showreel I animated it as a first-person shooter game.

I thought it might be interesting to try something a bit different.

To create gunshots I used Adobe After Effects for the first time.

The creature rig was courtesy of CodeMasters games.

Collaborative Work

These are a few shots I did for a film by Toke Jepsen called "Over the Hill".

The film was nominated for best second year at the Glammies awards this year.

Beast Walk Cycle

This is a model by Jamie Lloyd rigged by Kim McCubbin.

It was cool to animate something different like this creature because he walks on his arms.

Motion Builder

This was a project we did as an introduction to Motion Builder. The objective was to successfully blend a series of animations together without any obvious transitions.

For the first half of the project we blended a series of biped motion capture sequences and one of our own animations. We then had to alter the sequence to create 2 other different emotions.

For the second half of the project we had to animate and blend a series of quadruped animations. We also had to create 3 different emotions for these sequences.

2nd Year Film

This is my film from my second year at uni. Its about a fox hunter who goes into town to pick up some hunting supplies. When he sits down for a quick break he soon realises that the town is a bit unusual today...

Had some problems with the sound and rendering but might touch it up when I get the time.

I think the overall style of the film works really well. The time spent modelling, texturing and organising shots really affected the animation and it did get a bit sloppy.

It's safe to say that I will never be directing EVER again..
